How can OT or Speech be effective if you can’t touch the patient?
We use a "Coaching Model" and various interactive elements to engage clients. By guiding both the client and their carer through therapy activities, we ensure the skills learned are anchored in your daily routines and environments. Research shows that this approach to therapy often leads to faster results.
Is my internet/computer good enough for this?
If you have a laptop or computer with a webcam and microphone and can stream a YouTube video or use FaceTime, you can likely use our platform! Our Free Tech-Check is designed specifically to test your connection and equipment and solve any technical barriers before you commit to a full session.
What if my child won't sit still in front of a computer?
We don't expect them to! TeleTAG occupational therapy and speech therapy for kids is highly interactive and engaging. We might have them running "sensory laps" around the couch or finding objects in a scavenger hunt. We follow their lead to keep them engaged. We make use of things you have in your environment already and for clients that need specific therapy equipment you can purchase a therapy equipment pack and we will send it out to you.
Is telehealth covered by funding?
In 2026, most major providers and government funding schemes (like NDIS or Medicare) recognise and fund telehealth at the same rate as in-person visits. We can help you verify your specific coverage during your Discovery call.
What if telehealth doesn't work for me?
Your therapist will make suggestions for therapy options that might be more suitable. The great thing about our free Tech-Check Discovery Session is that you can make that decision without it costing you a single dollar. The great news is research shows that telehealth is as successful as in person therapy for most clients so give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised!
